I graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2005 and am a licensed Marriage and Family therapist (License # LIC 50118). In my private practice, one of my primary specialties is helping couples and dating singles negotiate relationship boundaries ranging from traditional monogamous ideals to incorporating open, polyamorous, kink or swing lifestyle practices. As a relationship model is clarified, emotional support and guidance is provided to improve emotional security, connection, and confidence.
In addition, I have over a decade of experience working with adults who have experienced trauma/abuse and/or are diagnosed with a psychiatric illness through my work at clinics, such as Sherman Oaks Hospital's partial hospitalization program. I also volunteered for many years at the Grossman Burn Center and led groups at their yearly Lake Hughes Burn Retreat working with burn survivors and their family members.
I have a speciality in art therapy and have worked with individuals, couples and groups to bring unconscious material to the surface facilitating insight and healing. Whether you are an artist or someone who enjoys the creative process in conjunction with their healing process, this modality will benefit you. I have a special interest and love for this modality.
My masters in business administration (MBA) and corresponding work experience (1993 to 2001) allows for a greater understanding of professional stressors and challenges within the business world.
